Paul Raye started his working life with the Commonwealth Lighthouse Service where he was involved in a number of areas including project management of all works at Victorian coastal lighthouses. From there he moved to the Department of Trade, project managing numerous Australian Trade Exhibitions and displays around the world. In 1986 he took up a position in a suburban accounting firm, becoming one of 5 partners in 1992. In 1995 Paul departed to set up his own practice, and has since combined with Peter Russell to create PR Accountants.

Paul has a passion for assisting small business and gains immense satisfaction from seeing his clients profits and their wealth grow. The many relationships developed over a number of years are what has made this profession so remarkable for him.

Paul is a CPA and a Fellow of the National Tax & Accountants Association. His interests are sailing, social tennis, squash (when he can find any survivors to play against), reading, travel… and of course Collingwood Football club.

Peter Russell spent over 15 years in the Australian Taxation Office as a senior investigation officer prior to entering private practice in 1983. Peter has owned a number of businesses, including a sojourn for 3 years running the Hidden Valley pub in far north Queensland. Peter is a CPA and specializes in structural, superannuation and taxation planning for small to medium businesses. As a principal in practice for over 25 years, he has detailed knowledge of what is required to run a successful business, and many of his clients regard his advice as paramount to their success.

A dedicated Hawthorn supporter, Peter lists his interests as travel, music, real estate and family.
